Logline: On the eve of his first novel’s publication, a writer tries to conceal his ex-girlfriend's prominent role in the book. At an intimate party full of their mutual friends, an uncomfortable confrontation becomes inevitable.

"Advance Copy" is a story about the messiness of storytelling. It's the confluence of recurring interests: entangled relationships, a group of friends gossiping about art and culture, and, of course, the slow waning of the Chicago apartment party.
